Data recovery

Data recovery, also commonly known as data migration, is part of an ERP software changeover. It involves transferring data from the old tool to the new one.

The first step is to make a complete backup of the data available on the software previously used. This provides the company with considerable security in the event of any technical problems occurring during the deployment of the new solution, or in the period leading up to it. The data will be preserved, in case a malfunction is only noticed after the fact.
In a second phase, the data is implemented in the new software.

This is a very delicate operation, the risks of which can greatly affect the smooth running of a company. That's why data recovery is followed by a test period, during which customer service on the supplier's side is mobilized to limit these risks as much as possible, and to be able to intervene rapidly in the event of a problem.

Data migration may be carried out on the customer's side, or may be entirely at the integrator's expense. In the latter case, deployment costs may be added to the total price of the service.
